Yes. The Promatic Soldering Iron is a torch system and operates on Propane gas. In a professional setting, it’s usually used with larger refillable Propane cylinders that contain between 2 – 47 kg of gas.

Yes. Use a pressure regulation device (regulator) with our torch systems to achieve maximum performance, maximum safety and regulate the gas flow from the cylinder to the torch to reduce waste. Read more about pressure regulation devices our faq here.

For an extra layer of safety we recommend to use a pressure regulation device (regulator) with an integrated hose failure valve (HFV).

Yes. You need a propane hose. We have a variety of propane hoses in terms of length, diameter and standards. Read more about our propane hoses in our faq here.

Since this is a flexible system where you can pick and choose to your application needs, the handle is delivered without a copper bit and you need to buy that separately. Our kits, however include everything you need to get started.

Yes, the copper bits that work with Promatic Soldering Iron can also work with the PSI (Portable Soldering Iron).
